Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASAs, are volunteers who are trained to advocate for abused and neglected children who are in the Talbot County court system through no fault of their own. CASA volunteers are men and women who want to help the children in their community. They come from all walks of life, have a variety of backgrounds, are young and old, and are working or retired. By becoming a CASA volunteer, YOU CAN BE A POWERFUL VOICE IN A CHILD'S LIFE! Once a year, CASA of Talbot County offers a 34-hour Pre-Service Training Program to new volunteers. All prospective volunteers must apply to the program, be interviewed and undergo a criminal background check. To request volunteer information, call the CASA office at the number at the bottom of the page. |
